Texas je jediný stát USA, který byl kdysi nezávislou republikou. Rozlohou větší než Francie, má pestrou historii a leží přímo na švu anglosaského a hispánského světa. Texas je domovem pro neuvěřitelné množství vlivných umělců blues, R&B a country a živnou půdou blues. Hodinovou ochutnávkou texaského blues a dalších stylů vás provede novinář a vysokoškolský pedagog z Univerzity Palackého Mathew Sweney.

Texas is the only U.S. state that was once an independent republic. Larger in area than France, it has a rich history and lies right at the intersection of the Anglo-Saxon and Hispanic worlds. Texas is home to an incredible number of influential blues, R&B, and country artists, and it is fertile ground for the blues. An hour-long taste of Texas blues and other styles will be presented by journalist and university lecturer from Palacký University, Mathew Sweney.
