Blues Alive will celebrate M. Jagger and K. Richards’ eightieth birthdays. Thirty bands will play in total, including G. Love & Special Sauce, Robert Finley and Tommy Castro

Published by <p>Seven talented bands have been selected by an expert jury for the final of the Blues Aperitiv competition, which will take place on 15 April at the House of Culture in Šumperk. The bands Amiya (Poland), Back To Roots (Czech Republic), Cold Licks (Czech Republic), Dark Leaves (Poland), Her Memories (Slovakia), Kiero Grande (Slovakia) and Readymade Backsliders (Czech Republic) will perform live.</p>

Alvin Youngblood Hart and Marquise Knox’s Chicago Blues Festival to perform at Blues Alive

Again this year, festival-goers can expect a diverse mix of the best of what can be heard on the world blues scene today. Last year's successfully established second stage under the name Jam Stage will be elevated to a full festival stage, where international stars will also play.</p>

Blues Alive festival begins in Šumperk

Published by <p>In total, nearly forty music acts will perform at the House of Culture and other venues in Šumperk this year. We also offer a second festival stage called Jam Stage. Concerts will be complemented by a painting exhibition, jam sessions, listening programs, a masterclass by Jontavious Willis and a film screening. The big news is the opening of a permanent exhibition of the Blues Alive Hall of Fame. The festival is sold out, only tickets for the accompanying events are available.</p>

This year’s festival edition includes legends Anthony Geraci and Popa Chubby, Ana Popović and a tribute to singer Etta James

Published by <p>The American singer Sugaray Rayford cancelled part of his European tour (which was to include a performance at Blues Alive), but the good news is that we managed to get not only a star of comparable size, but also one of the great legends of the contemporary blues scene: pianist and singer Anthony Geraci with his band The Boston All-Stars.</p>
