Announcing 26th Edition of the Blues Aperitiv Competition for Blues Acts
<p>The Blues Aperitiv music competition, open to blues and blues-inspired artists, welcomes bands and solo musicians from any country. The highlight for the winners is the opportunity to perform at the Blues Alive 2025 festival, scheduled this year from November 14 to 16. The deadline for entries is March 1, 2025.</p>
Blues Alive 2024 is over, we invite you to the next edition
<p>Dear visitors, dear performers, dear colleagues, a few days ago, the 28th Blues Alive festival ended. Once again it made Šumperk the European capital of blues music for three days. Although we are just beginning to wake up from the "Šumperk dream" we know for sure that we were present at one of the best festival editions so far which is confirmed by the numerous positive responses to both the program and the overall course of the event.</p>

<p>The 28th edition of Blues Alive kicks off in Šumperk on 14 November. It will feature over thirty top of the crop international acts. The featured genres will range from classic guitar blues to its Delta acoustic form, through Americana to garage rock.</p>

<p>Famous guitarist and singer Devon Allman is a representative of one of the most famous musician families, son of Gregg Allman and nephew of Duane Allman, founders of the legendary band The Allman Brothers Band.</p>

<p>The Blues Aperitiv 2024 jury had a much more difficult task than in previous years. While usually roughly the number of bands that shine during the competition then appear on the imaginary podium, this year any of the seven finalists could have won without any exaggeration.</p>
The Blues Aperitiv contest takes place on April 13th
<p>The Blues Aperitiv competition show will start on Saturday at 7 pm at the House of Culture in Šumperk. The international jury led by Blues Alive program director Ondřej Bezr has selected The Bad Week, Robert Kordylewski Trio, Noises From The Swamp, Reverend Killjoy, Navratil Brothers, Back to Roots and Kiero Grande for the final.</p>
Blues Alive 2024 will bring Blues Music Awards and Grammy winners
<p>We are announcing the first confirmed names of this year's lineup. American drummer and guitarist, Grammy and multiple Blues Music Awards winner Cedric Burnside, American blues singer-songwriter, winner of numerous Blues Music Awards and three Grammy nominations Eric Bibb, brilliant Miami guitarist and Blues Rock Artist of the Year 2023 Albert Castiglia, prominent American singer-songwriter and rock singer Chuck Prophet and many others will play in Šumperk.</p>

<p>The Blues Aperitiv music competition for new blues and blues-based talent is open to all bands or musicians, regardless of country of origin. The main attraction for the winners is the opportunity to perform at the Blues Alive 2024 festival, which this year takes place from 14-16 November. The deadline for entries is March 1.</p>
